Gloriana Key is a sprawling sub-tropical island situated just south of the main shipping channels of Vice City. Blending dense coastal mangrove forests, public beach parklands, and civic infrastructure, the island houses oceanographic research stations and a celebrated, weathered marine stadium overlooking the water basin. In gameplay terms, Gloriana Key offers varied terrain ranging from high-speed coastal highway straights to secluded dirt tracks slicing through mangrove swamps. The cavernous concrete structures of the waterfront marine stadium provide an iconic arena for illicit deals and tactical ambushes. In the real world, Gloriana Key is modeled on Virginia Key in Miami, renowned for Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, the iconic Miami Marine Stadium, and the University of Miami Rosenstiel marine campus.
