Northern Islands

A secluded chain of wild maritime barrier islands in the extreme north, known for wild horses, maritime oak forests, and desolate ocean beaches.

Overview

The Northern Islands form a serene, semi-feral archipelago guarding the northeastern coast. Shaded by ancient salt-pruned live oaks draped in Spanish moss, these islands feature desolate shell beaches, maritime salt marshes, and isolated coastal ruins accessible only by boat or aircraft. In gameplay terms, the Northern Islands offer total off-grid isolation. Without police presence or paved roads, the sandy tracks and beach strips provide ideal hideouts for establishing illicit airstrips and maritime distribution camps. In the real world, this district is inspired by Amelia Island and Georgia's Cumberland Island, famous for wild horses, historic coastal ruins, and untouched maritime wilderness.
